Here is a shot of the "Thad Starr" Irrigation system, 6x6 grids, Rows every 6 ft, Dan Micro Srpinklers every 6 ft on rows. The mostt complete, even coverage I've ever had. Even though it doesnt look like it, we tilled today too.

Here is a summary of Woody Lancasters Patch.
Sunday, August 15 View Page
This is a patch in the middle of a parking lot where Woodys works. Woody helps special needs adults. Woody took it upon himself to mentor one of the residents to grow giants. Just the look of pure Pride on Paula's face while we were all there admiring the patch was priceless. Woody, you are truly a great man, this my friend, is what makes a Heavy hitter in my opinion.

The Next stop was John Doucet's patch, he has an intense orange fruit growing, it's amazing to see how much you can do in a limited growing area, Joh can only fit one plant per season....those are some tough odds, gret job John!

I hate to have to make this post, but..we are officially out of the game. Our biggest fruit, estimating over 1300 lbs on the 991 Urena went down to a split. I walked out to cover it for the night and noticed that it was split at the bottom. I'll get a better estimate now that I can clear away the vines and get all around the fruit.

Here is a shot of my 1401.5 that lost the stump early on as it was doing 38 a day, it slowed down right after that and now sits around 900 est.

Another shot a bit furthur away of the 1401.5, it is a wide fruit, great color and the plant is still very healthy.

We took a few pics and measured one more time after clearing everything away from the fruit. The Final Measurements are: SS:112 FB:104 CC: 185.5 OTT: 401.5 Est: 1351.9 Kim and I measured twice, thats all I really wanted to do, any more and i find myself trying to find the absolute largest bump or rib trying to squeeze another inch here or there...lol....it is what it is. I pulled a few hundred seeds out of the fruit. This was an interesting plant, grown in 500 sq ft, pollinated 9 ft out on the main, grown in a more shaded area of the patch.
