I had been able to spark some nice green growth on the plants, things were certainly looking up..... Last night we had dime sized hail (I guess it's better then the golf ball size they were calling for), 40 mph+ winds, tornado warnings and another inch of rain in a matter of 30 mins...... This is almost feeling like a sure sign to me....he he he I couldn't make this stuff up.

The battle continues......there I was minding my own business when I saw this huge ground hog try to sneak past me and go into the hole where I thought I removed the last one in the most humane of manners, I promptly ran over and asked him very politely to move to another garden, I did not by any means put a poison gas bomb in his tunnel. This isnt a lie, maybe strectching the truth a little....dang that makes me a ground hog sandbagger...

As I was doing a little patch prep I noticed that the woodchuck had got past all of the implements of destruction that I had put into place to deter and/or stop him/her.....this prompted me to sight in the scope on my air rifle while I await my conibear 220.... when low and behold I saw two little new woodchucks, the beast that tore my season apart must have been a mamma, how nice it was for one of them to then pop its head out of its hole as I was looking through my scope at approx. 5 ft away... it gave me the chance to have a heart to heart with it and use my power of persuasion to suggest that it leave.....buh bye....

Damn it! The damn woodchuck got in again....they like that one spot......no obvious damage...dug a trench and layed another piece of fence in it, moulding it around the inside of the trench and up the fence posts....I dont think Houdini could get through this. oh where oh where is my conibear.... oh where oh where could it be...

We finally cut the Big RI tomato today, these are hands down the sweetest (flavor) tomato that I've ever had. I grow several varieties of heirlooms each year, These will be a constant in my garden from here on out. Big thanks go out to Mike Parenty.

well a few weeks of luke warm days and cold nights, we had 2 days of rain, 2-3 inches conservatively, we now are supposed to get up to 90 degrees today with a heat index of 99, 72 over night and 80 percent humidity.... I have this uneasy feeling......the sounds of fruit popping......... Fingers are crossed
