I took advantage of unusually warm weather (67 degrees in Napa) and tilled the weeds under in my patch today. We are having a very dry winter in California. Only 1/3 of the normal amount of rain since November.

I got back my soil test results. Looks like I need 90 lbs. of dolomite per 1000 sq.ft. to raise my ph a little.

My 940 Mombert 00 plant is doing surprisingly well considering how scrawny it was when it first germinated. For a 12 year old seed, it is doing pretty good now. This plant should throw some nice orange. The protective tree ring will be removed next week when the main starts to run.

I only have one long gourd on the tower this year. The pollonation on this one was way late.
The plant and fruit are doing good considering the 100 degree heat that we have been having.
