Pumpkins are starting to go into the rapid grwth stage. My best plant is tracting 41 pounds a day. It does have a flat spot which may mean trouble as the ribs form later in the season. I will add potash today, vine borer spraying in the hot humid east. Its like August here. I fear early powdery mildew. I will start a preventative program . The writing is on the wall. Dave
