Selfed the 144 in my back yard. I fear it is my only shot. The heat has burnt off both of the 2 after it, and the main is looking a little funky from the heat.

Season turning crummy here. had an aport on my only chance on the main. All the others burnt off. Had to prune a side into the main and take the one I pollinated just in case. Its now the new main. We'll see with 100 degrees on the way. Terrazole burns leaves real bad. I washed it off right away, but didnt get it in time.

Season turning sour in a hurry. Cant get MV sets to take, and sides are growing real slow. 5-100+˚F days was at the absolute worst time.
No monsters coming from here. State fair pumpkin still holding strong tho!

Fall season turning sour in a hurry. Cant get MV sets to take, and sides are growing real slow. 5-100+˚F days was at the absolute worst time.
No fall monsters coming from here. State fair pumpkin still holding strong tho! One guarantee. The fair pumpkin will shock everyone if we can hold it together another month!

Not that the rest of the country isnt struggling from the drought or heat, but this pretty sums up the last 6 seasons for us.
I think it is about time to retire from competitive growing. I have really had enough of this luck.

This is the best we can muster, and I am almost sure its going to split from the multiple deformaties.....and it was supposed to be orange.

growing just a little. We went from dry to wet, and I wasnt on top of the PM, so we lost a few leaves, but seems to be ok now. If it was a better pumpkin, I would have tried harder.

Nothing super special, but a new Indiana record. 83.3 lbs. I'm going to have to really take good care of one of these, they are fun.
