Monday, February 21 View Page Heres my first diary for this year,Well Ive been busy reconstructing my greenhouse,This greenhouse is made up of scrap material, some material used,gas line pipe,two by threes,one by two strips of wood, storm door,glass and heavy plastic,Im going to start some tomatoe plants and vegetables in it first and one of my pumpkins seeds will start at the back of the green house after pumpkin grows some I will open my bottom sides to let the vine grow out,The green house is 24foot long,8ft.wide,and 7ft,tall,I have more room to move around in this one,Im going to add some lights inside,heater and water line with faucet to water vegetables.this picture I took early in the morning on a rainey day.I will update on my diary and greenhouse soon,maybe work inside of it today,working on some lights. Sunday, April 3 View Page Heres an update on my diary,Heres a picture of my greenhouse that will house one of my pumpkin plants in the back of it, I also started some tomatoe plants,peppers and cabbage,and some other vegetables, this year this green house is heated by a radiator electric heater with timer, two heat lamps in cealing and a small wood burning stove for the evening hours when it gets cold,when the wood burns out the heat lamps and radiator heater takes over,I made a couple vents in the top and side,all made out of gas line pvc and wood and plastic,Hoping to start a pumpkin seed the end of the month in this hoop green house,I will open the bottom sides for side vines in late may pumpkin plant will grow out to door and I will remove door,and stove,hopefully this will protect from hail hitting main vine, Sunday, May 1 View Page Heres a picture of me and my daughters greenhouse sign we made to grow vegetables and after we take out all of our plants,we start one pumpkiun plant in the back of the geenhouse and let it grow through it, Sunday, May 1 View Page heres a picture of the inside with a wood burning stove and a small radiater heater for cold nights. Sunday, May 1 View Page Heres my timer I set up for watering when Im at work,I have pvc pipe all through the greenhouse, Im going to put soaker hoses down soon for the pumpkin plant and set up some small misters for the plant to, Monday, May 2 View Page I started my pumpkin seeds on april 28th, I soaked all of them in water for eight hours,then they went into moist paper towels and then they went into ziplock bags,my line up this year will be the following,some of my seeds are in pots now that I started seeing roots, I will let everyone know whats coming up very soon. Sunday, May 15 View Page I have some plants in the ground,I have a 798 veader,798 lawson,697 veader,two of my own seeds that wasnt weighed that was from a 579 rockwell pumpkin and a 1101 northrup pumpkin, also going to plant a 699 gantner,Im pressing it for space,also theres some back ups planted just in case I need one,plants are doing fine, Im have a problem with my camera will upload some pictures soon, Monday, May 30 View Page Heres an update on my diary, heres a 798 lawson growing good,This plant is starting grow its vine good and laying down. Sunday, July 31 View Page Heres a update on my 697 veader pumpkin,this one has a nice shape on this pumpkin,I have three pumpkins growing on this plant, this plant flat vined when it started then grew three mains out, this was the first main vine that came out of the flat vining it did,so I let all three grow on this pumpkin plant,all three have nice shapes, no monsters on this plant,but nice looking pumpkins.
