Had to dig through to see what pots, and have never tried the air root pruning pots for these guys, they are about 4quarts or 8x8 inches which should give them about 3 weeks in there, depending how long I stall them with cool temps.

guess i lied about the pot size 6.5 in across the top by 6 in tall. the 798 frei(1068wallace x 998 pukos) came out of the seed i wanna say, "gumpy" like a mutated uneven cotyledon and a already flattened ribbon stem. also there were tiny we call them "fat/grease ants" since they show up to eat oils in our home.. i hate to go into further detail but they were eating at the mutated side of the cotyledon, this is a first for me. they're gone. the 993 ansems (1818 bryson x 1002 kline) seems more "tender" in essence ya know what i mean? i'm not saying it isn't strong just very juicy>_>

biggest snow of the season! thats 600sf of patch with plenty of room on the sides for stretching vines. a rogue mulberry aint hurtin anythin on the back left and a elberta peach on the right to "enhance" the earthy matrix of the patchy ground, and to give o so little shade to the stump which will most likely be towards the back.

taken yesterday 6-16-13 pollinated 6-15-13 today had nice rain early.. still needs good soaking. this is by far the best kin on the plant which is now covering 175sq feet the other three plants are running but just don't have the sun to really thrive, which may be a pro later in august.. now back to the 798 frei baby(1068wallace x 998 pukos)which after being pollinated 2 days ago has doubled to the chicken egg mark. its 14 feet out and the main its on pretty much just did a three way split, which was just managed to a two way. rain in the forecast what a moist spring!

severed the "main" one leaf after the kin with a secondary left with three leaves at the kin node to better tell me how much water the plant is receiving. day thirteen 48.5" circ. its round and my nail just went into it like butter ohh. the severed main is about 8 feet and buried whilst survival seems ago. might make a nice second plant in front of this one, has nice secondaries still pushing out.

day 15 the rain is prominent i took a picture and the bucket looked kinda behind it.. cheap angle. so i stuck it right up by the stem, and it looks bigger anyway. it seems to be pentagonal with a nice hump on the top two fat sides and two leg bulges and is perfectly level the past few days. the severed main is perking up and is pushing a few inches aday i will try a late kin on that to gauge how they finish down here in maryland through the fall. warm and humid.

these clouds are really slowing things down the past few days but with how much rain we've had.. if today had been more sunny, i would be scurd of exploding pumpkin. i'm abit concerned how the rip on the left is already sinking in. i hope that it "rolls over" too the left as it expands into it's noticeably wider shape, thus the top ridge sitting right on center, instead of to the right slightly. there are two nice 6 lobes still set to open on Terminated "main like" secondaries in a few days, can't beat insurance. the stem on this pumpkin was bigger from the start but if a nice long 6 lobe sets i might have to keep my options open on this plant. there is another big storm rolling up the eastern seaboard. i.. could throw some plastic over the plant to shed some of this water!

going away for a few days. 18th dap circ.69 ee48 ott48 ott 165, so 48+48 is 96 reversed is 69 this pumpkin is spot on. dumped a bag of pea gravel on the left side i think it was starting to sink from all this rain, i woulds hate to loose the shape of this kin due to the ground giving way. i hope all the mycorrhiza watch what they're doing and don't let this kin blow up!

well there it is. i think it stopped=/ i should of let the plant get bigger, and worked in more nutrients/sooner. but the fun continues since this plant got frosted late april it subsequently lost the main and ended up with a morphed wishbone, this pumpkin on the smaller or should i say shorter of the two secondaries and an up and coming contender taken all the heat, on the longer stronger secondary at about 25' out. the youngster coming on has a nicer shape then this one did and with this week going into the 90's its the weather we've all been waiting for to help things dry abit. cleaned up some mooshy vines today i guess from the flooding, tis all in fun!

i had yet one more perfect backup to loose, yikes. so it was getting pretty hot and dry everywhere.. th eplant wasn't really water stressed but i gave it its first watering of like 30 gallons for the year and the next day everything was drroping and the stump just rotted out like that, i kept the minute amount of water away from touching the stump directly, despite my cautionary approach it was mush. i guess all the mycor. activity dictated enough water supply/demand from the get go, i should not of interfered with nature i attempted to bless this plant with aqua and all i got was death.
