Did a soil test back in the fall. Heres the basic for my results. Ph:6.3 phosphorus: 249 ppm calcium: 2209 ppm Magnesium: 348 ppm Organic matter: 6.4 % I added 3 cubic yards of aged compost into my patch, and 20 lbs ground limestone for my 20 by 20 patch. I also planted a cover crop of winter rye. In the spring I got told to add 16 lbs of dried blood and 2 lbs of muriate of potash. I cant want for the growing season to start. Going to post a picture of my patch soon.

I bought a sun system grow light 150 watts. This is one of the best grow lights I have ever used. I had this one for 1 hour and the room was 77 degress. It also is really bright. I've been using it to practice germination which I am now flawless in.

The seeds I have are the 1302 Kline 12,the 1422.5 Giarrusso 12, and the 1244 Holland 12. My first choice is the 1302 Kline because of its color. As a back up I will be germinating the 1244 Holland. I am planning on starting seeds the 21st or 22nd

So here it is. I will have to stress nitrogen more as the plant is not as green. We are up to the 5th true leaf coming out. The first true leaf was/is a little disorientated. I think it is from the cot leaves because I read somewhere that they produce the chemicals for the pumpkin to produce the rest of the true leaves. The white thing you see in the picture is a thermometer that connects to a digital clock that tells me the temp in the hoop house. We had a frost warning a couple days ago but the pumpkin temp remained fine.

Not much I have to say but a lot of bad luck. We have been having rain galore and unfortunately the patch has been getting flooded even though I do not have clay soil anymore. As the secondarys where growing they got submerged in water. The main is out about 13 feet and the secondary's are progressing slow and not where they should be and some of them rotted dew to being submerged in water. I have not seen any SVB and have been spraying. The patch started to dry up today. This may affect my goal to reach 600lbs and one last note the first female today.

well it's been a bad year here. My patch ended up getting flooded from all the rain and my one and only plant died. I have moved to Missouri because of job and will start a new patch
