Mine and Kevin's Henry (Mr.Fuzz) lounging on the flowers I planted. He probably thoughthe was doing me a favor by keeping them warm but really he ended up squashing them. Me = dead flowers, maybe I don't have a green thumb haha

Seed corn maggots got our first round of plants, thank goodness we had backups and didn't plant a few of our planned seeds (the 1236 Harps and 1544 Revier). Kevin saved his 1421 Stelts and it has been doing well.

My 1544 Revier, it is small but hopefully it'll get a good growth spurt here soon!

My 1236 Harp! This is my best looking plant so far. Hopefully it continues that way so I can beat my boyfriend Kevin Snyder in our 1236 battle of the sexes rivalry.

Mr. Fuzz caught a mole! We were so proud! The only downside to it was, he brought it into the house! Kevin put it on the patio for him but the cat only wanted to play with the mole..he never killed it!

I realized tonight that I need to do some serious weed picking ASAP, or they are going to begin to over come my plants!

My 1236 Harp! It is my best plant out of three so far! My boyfriend Kevin Snyder and I are having a battle of the sexes rivalry with this seed. Mine will be the winner in the end!!

I picked weeds in all three of my plants tonight. There really weren't as many as I had thought but at least I'm out to a good start!

I know a place, where the pumpkins are really growing.. Bigger and faster than last year! There must be something in that miracle grow.. Spraying fish fertizler, pulling weeds on my knees.. Mud filled boots and dirty hands.. Kevin Snyder trys not to break his neck trying to creep a little sneak peek of my 1236 Harp! Pumpkin grower's are unforgettable!

Sorry to everyone who has been keeping up with my dairy! I have been very busy with my summer internship as the Program Director at the Clearfield YMCA. I was pretty much caught up in the patch before Kevin, his dad, and I went on a trip to West Virginia for a Pontiac Car Show but after our return, I won't lie, I haven't really been doing much in the patch other than picking mass amounts of weeds and removing tertiary vines that grew out of control while we were away. My spots in the patch seem to be a mess right now. My 1st 1236 Harp (July 7th)pollination aborted so I now have a bowling ball size pumpkin that is growing well and will hopefully grow larger than Kevin's. My boat regatta pumpkin is doing well. I'm really excited to see how it turns out!! It is a perfect canoe shape!! I can't wait for Cooperstown!! So my fingers are crossed at hoping all continues to goes well with it! My 1544 Revier is doing good as well! Although, my biggest problem is I need to cut off my other pumpkins growing on the vine so that my main pumpkin can grow bigger! I have realized growing 3 pumpkins is hard and a lot of work especially with the job I have and will have as soon as I graduate from Slippery Rock! Next summer I will only be growing one pumpkin! So that's the update for now!! Hopefully I'll get some good work in this week and have an update of pictures by the weekend!! Stay tuned....
