This is a good start at my line up for this year. I will also include the 1080.6 Hunt, (Thanks Phil & Jane) and then will have to choose (8) of the ten possible choices. I will probably eliminate one of ours but the other one I will leave out may be based on how the starts look.

Got the first till of the year done on the patch in my back yard. Tilled in the chicken manure and mint straw dropped of by my buddy Ron Barker. Soil test is next along Olympic Mountain Fish Compost, Scarecrows Pride processed manure, and maybe a bit of Tagro. Room for two plants here and they will probably be the 1770 Lieber and either the 1723 Marshal or 1778.5 Daletas.

This is my 1676.5 Daletas on day 18 with a CC of 43". The dog ate the end of the main on this plant about a month ago so this is on a secondary trained as a main. It is doing very well anyway and I love the shape of this one so it will be interesting to see how this does.

Here is a good shot of my 1676.5 Daletas on Day 32. This one has a great shape and should end up a nice shade of orange if I can keep it going. Weight is around 300 lbs. when this photo was taken.

Here is our 1080.5 Hunt that was planted as a pollinator plant. It is up to 220.5 OTT and did 18 lbs a day the last three days. It looks just like the other 180's I have seen in the past. Not to bad for a plant that can't be over 200 sq, ft.

This the 1676.5 Daletas on day 38. It is a little over 400 lbs and has averaged about 27 lbs a day for the last 6 days. This is one of the best looking pumpkins I have ever seen. It is round, tall, and should be very orange if I can keep it going. A Dill award and a new personal best are both possibilities if the weather stays good and I don't do anything wrong to screw things up.

Here is a shot of the 1676.5 yesterday morning before the PGVG & PNWGPG patch tour. It should be at 300 OTT today on day 46. It is still chugging along between 25 & 30 lbs a day. I Need to keep this growth rate going as long as possible. If it does keep going another two weeks, it should hit 900 lbs estimate before September 1st with over a month to go before all of the big northwest weigh offs.

Here is the PGVG & PNWGPG patch tour at stop #1 at my patch yesterday morning. We had a good turn out and a good time was had by all.

This is the 1676.5 Daletas on day 50 at about 700 lbs. Only 51 days until the Central Market Weigh off and 240 lbs to go to beat our PR. Still doing around 20 lbs per day so I hope it stays together and keeps going.

This our 1080.5 Hunt on day 49 at around 425 lbs. This looks just like the other two pumpkins we have grown off the 1080. Hope it goes heavy just like the others. Not to bad for a 250 sq. ft. plant started as a pollinator with no greenhouse, mycor., or heating cables.

Final numbers on the 1676.5 were 142.5" cc, 100"ss, & 95.5" ee for an ott of 338". That equates to 859 lbs on the chart but I am pretty sure it would go heavier than that because it is was growing over the blossom and that was impossible to include in my measurements. This will be my last post on big pumpkins so good luck to everyone in the future. I have retired from growing immediately and will not longer be on the PNWGPG club board effective after the Central Market weigh off. I will be at all of the weigh offs this year to help out but them I am done. This is just not really fun for me at this point. I need to pursue some other things that may not have so much of an all or nothing risk reward factor involved.
