I need some opinions if I should cull this pumpkin or let it go. This is set at about 12' out on the main but is in a terrible position with the main. It is almost parallel with the main and I can't move it much without putting allot of stress on the stem. Bad thing is this thing is growing like crazy. I have a second set about three feet down the main and is in a much better position, perpendicular with the main but not growing as fast. This one was pollinated four days later. I will put up a picture of it. Gut feeling says cut but man its growing.

This is the second pumpkin that is perpendicular with the main. It is four days behind the first, and maybe if I cut the first it will start to grow at the rate of the first. Need some opinions on what to do here, afraid of shooting myself in the foot by cutting my fast grower but don't want to loose it later to stem splits or have to cut the main. Let me know what you think.

Picture of my 1467 Perham plant, a little bit beat up by the storms we have had but doing well. My second plant is a 1444 Marsh but it split the stem in a storm shortly after I took down my hoop houses, I was able to dry and repair the split with some paste but slowed down the plant growth. I do have a pumpkin set on the 1444 but not as healthy plant as the 1467.

The 1467 Perham is doing well, growing nicely and I am still working on the positioning with the main.

I am short changing Kevin, I called this the 1444 when it is actually the 1488 Marsh. This plant isn't very big but it is growing a nice fruit. If it continues to grow like this it will be one round pumpkin.

Straight line winds flattened the patch this morning. Things are going down hill fast.

Came home on the 14th and found that I had lost the main 12" in front of the 1488. I cut the main, and am trying to get it dry now, then the wind this morning. I now only have about 100 Sq ft feeding the 1488.

My 1467 at 287 OTT, I am trying to win the battle with spotted cucumber beetles, they are really causing damage to my leaves.

I think I lost the 1488 to SVB damage, it was at about 250lbs when it quit growing. This plant was not healthy from the start so I ripped it out and it is on the trailer.

My 1467 pumpkin loaded for the Mortan weigh off. I had to cut the pumpkin off the main vine on the 26th of august to save the stem. Ended up weighing in at 666lbs.

Nasty stem split but was able to take it to the weight off.

My son Connor couldn't wait to climb in and get the seeds, nice for me. He needed a bath when he was finished.
