Friday, April 12 View Page Hope to have more luck this year. 2012 finished very early with a heavy wind in, if I remember well, in July. This picture is of a plant I put a lot of hope in. It is a 1596 Wallace, tahnks Pizza :) It was an unexpected gift that found it's way one day to my mail box. A really nice spot is waitting for it. I will grow two more plants this year. 934 Schieder is already in the soil and looking nice. And a 513.5 Vincent. Wednesday, April 17 View Page The 1596 after three days in the ground. Looks pretty happy to me. Wednesday, April 17 View Page The 934 on the picture and the 1596 were started on the same day. The 1596 was kept inside until a couple days ago while the 934 was a part of and experiment. Now the 1596 looks better, so for now it seems that a lot of work was for nothing. Have thought of making a hot bed like farmers did in the past. Dig a hole in the ground, filed it with fresh horse manure ... the temperatures got just high enough. I planted the just germinated seedling outside even if the temperatures were close to freezing at the time, covered it with a clear plastic cover. It is true, that the weather is playing with us this spring. Extremely wet and cold until a week ago, now sun with temperatures of over 25 degrees C (77 degrees Fahrenheit).
