Monday, April 5 View Page So my first year doing a diary, figured why not, I like to look at everyone elses....why not make my own. This is my first set of seeds...i like to bag start them.... Sunday, April 11 View Page So this is last set of seed two weeks later. Having some problems with the skinners, but I think they will still be fine. The hoffman's have nice thick stems... Trying something new with only using half dirt in the pots, then as they grow i can add more dirt, help the stem a bit... Thursday, April 15 View Page This is my first set, The Two Skinners, arent doing well at all. The 836 & 908 Hoffman and growing the best. The 710 Bosworth is doing well, along with the 806 Yohe. Hopefully they'll be ready to go in the ground in two weeks... Thursday, April 15 View Page The wife snapped a few photos as i started Tilling, Gonna expand it a few feet this year. Thursday, April 22 View Page So this is the 836 Hoffman, trying something new digging about 18 inches below the soil and putting a bit of fertilizer in there. This plant has a nice thick stem that i'll bury. Plant doesnt look that great, hoping that being out of a pot will kick it in to growing mode. Really disapointed that the 1462 Gibson is the only one that didnt germinate...o well... The rest are starting to look alright. Have some squash from mine last year started, think i'll grow them across the street. Wednesday, April 28 View Page Planted 3 more plants, this is the 1175 Bowles. Planted another 806 Yohe, and 880 Skinner. They are all a bit small.... Thursday, April 29 View Page My 836 Hoffman is looking a little bad...could be the Three days of HOT weather...Hopefully it will pop back up in the next day or two... Sunday, May 9 View Page Lost four plants today, All the sudden, it winter again and to top it off, 45mph Wind Gust, blew every hoop house off and snapped two of the larger plants, this is the 710 Bosworth, which i thought was gonna be my best plant.... Both Hoffmans were destroyed by the wind too.... SUCKS Monday, May 10 View Page So to top the bad mother Day wind, the Deer at a 1333 Skinner snack last night...think i'll let it go, but pretty sure its done.... Saturday, June 26 View Page Finally got the camera out and had some time to sit down. Gardens not doing that great, to much other stuff going on to focus. Lost two more plants to deer or varmit. Lets hope the deer don’t eat this one... Think i'm going to go spray with some insecticide, maybe put down some 10-20-10 too... Saturday, June 26 View Page This is the 710 Bosworth, pollinated with the 1175 Bowles. This is the only other plant from my original planting that survived, outside of my squash from last year. The rest are only about a month old...
