Nothing caught !! Friday, July 6 View Page My LG experiment for the season. Plant is 24ft long, 14ft of it is planted in my patch. Side vines range from 6ft - 10ft long. Roots at each leaf node. LG just hit the top of my trellis today. Due to some circumstances, I haven't been able to care for it like I should. Biggest LG plant I've ever grown at this time of season. Sunday, August 5 View Page Growth not what i expected on my experimental Long Gourd. If you want mass, and not length, this is the way to go. All side vines were terminated today. Friday, August 17 View Page Picture of another gourd on my experimental plant. Only a couple days old, and all side vines on plant have been removed. The only extra roots are on the main vine. Definately a different growth pattern, not as aggressive for mass like the other gourd. This one appears to be slender like it's mother. Monday, August 27 View Page 2nd gourd on my experimental plant. Definately not the same results, the 1st gourd was just massive in size, this one is slender and long (not really). Weather hasn't been the greatest, cold nites.
