These two, Bart and Lisa, have confirmed my theory that young people should have young children. Actually, my grandchildren who live with us are speeding up the aging process. They are cute, but also evil geniuses.

This beautiful person is my grandson Caiden. He has a thing for Spiderman and you can see. He's part angel, part Dennis the menace with some Bart Simpson thrown in, but he's awesome!
Wednesday, February 15 View Page
And this is Caiden and Claira. We kind of spoiled them at Christmas but it was nice to have little believers opening presents.

No pics yet- for fun I'm trying to get a 1005 Mombert 2002 seed to pop, thanks Glenn Dixon and a 1995, yes 1995 seed- 850 Larue that came from Brett Hester. Both big ones for their day and deserve a shot. I have a 664 Liggett that almost joined the previous two, but I couldn't pull the trigger. Also started a bunch of tomatoes.

A couple of novice pumpkin growers learning from the master who most people are choosing to ignore here on BP....how can they go wrong?

Three of the long gourd plants that will go out early next week. The three in the foreground are all 95 Seca from 2000, easily out pacing even the 135 Jacobus.
Thursday, May 17 View Page
Sixteen tomato plants brought inside because of a chance of frost tonight. I will keep eight and give the others away. Right now the three 7.33 Hunts and two 5.18 Lyons are doing the best. Two 4.46 Marley's and one of my own will round out the top eight.

Here is a pic of yours truly, my lovely wife and our two beautiful grandchildren. This was taken just before we went out to dinner for Mother's Day. Look at my grandson's face, yeah... he is a handful.

This is the 830 Kenneally ( 1421 Stelts x 1610 Lieber ) at day 10. The likely keeper at 12 feet, I have another at 14 feet.

A mega bloom on the 5.18 Timm Lyons plant.

A mega bloom on one of two 4.46 Marley plants. All the tomato plants are growing nicely, but a little stingy on good females.

Nothing to do with pumpkins, I have taken up the hobby of collecting old radios. The old bakelite/ art deco are my favorite. The smaller wooden cabinet are nice as well. This is a 1946 Crosley. All the original parts and leads are there but will need some skill to get working again. Once she is cleaned up it should look pretty good.

On my travels throughout the county you come across these every so often. Know what it is?

Wednesday, September 26 View Page
Probably time I posted pics related to gardening. This gourd is just shy of 96 inches, not my best work but the cross is good- 92.5 Hamilton x 135 Jacobus. The 92.5= 108.75 Eaton x 135 Jacobus. The lineage is all pretty much 126.5 Jutras with some 109 Eaton.
Wednesday, September 26 View Page
This young gourd is 135 Jacobus x self, pollinated September 14. If the weather stays warm who knows.
Wednesday, September 26 View Page
Growing steadily, but realistically it is bound to slow down this late in the game.
Wednesday, September 26 View Page
This is what most of the tomato plants looked like this year. I can't complain about the yield, just no giants.
Monday, October 8 View Page
Not good enough for a weigh off but a good cross, 92.5 Hamilton x 135 Jacobus. The 92.5= 108.75 Eaton x 135 Jacobus. The 108.75 Eaton grew the WR long gourd this year.
Monday, October 8 View Page
Oh, it stopped growing at 96 inches. About 100 or so viable seeds that anyone is welcome to.
Tuesday, October 9 View Page
Well, I'm getting short on 92.5 LG seeds, only 21 left. The cross is 108.75 Eaton x 135 Jacobus. The 108.75 grew the new world record of 137 inches. There were 80 viable seeds in my 96 from this year, 92.5 Hamilton x 135 Jacobus. Going to keep 10 of each and give the rest away.
