New grow spot this season, and lots of work ahead. Got the place last fall and wanted to get the new ground broke at least but that never happened due to an early freeze up in October, only a couple weeks after acquiring the place.

I was therefore hoping for at least a normal spring to get the ground cleared early and thawed out. Abnormal cold temps this spring and lots of snow throughout the winter has got me way behind. Plans of 4 plants is now down to a realistic 2 good plants. I'd rather put my effort over the next couple weeks into 2 real good spots vs 4 spots that don't get the attention they need.

Plant #1 I hope is a 1634 Werner in a hybrid greenhouse. The main greenhouse will be build around what was an old chicken pen about 20 x 40 ft. There are good fence posts around it that have old chicken wire mesh attached, this will get ripped down, and greenhouse fabric attached to which will give me 4-5 ft walls. I will use remay type fabric for the roof. This will at least block the wind for me early and give me good ventilation to. I only need to get this totally finished by late summer though as I will use an 8x8 mini house at the start (2 of them to be build tomorrow), and the next couple weeks of work will be put into 2 small 10'x10' spots for now and work on getting the rest of the ground broke later as I need. By the time my plant outgrows the small greenhouse it will be alot nicer and the bigger house should provide a nice extra boost for our cooler late summer and fall temps.

Plant #2 should be a 498 Van Hook also grown at the start in an 8x8 hoophouse, but will most likely be grown in the open like I've always done, unless I have something really promising I may build something around it to. The 1634 greenhouse is a priority first though, and anything bigger for the 498 will be done after the Werners home is constructed.
