What a week! started the week with 8 1/2 inches rain in a 24 hour period then had a couple dry days but the temps only got up in the upper 30's and then BOOM!!! We were 80's for two days and with in one hour we went from 80 degrees to 40 degrees and then with in another 12 hours we had snow on the ground. mother nature didnt think it was wet enough and gave 3 more inches of rain. Trying to keep heat lamps in with pumpkins but neighbors dog loves to play tug a war with the dropcord. This is what you call extreme pumpkin growing at its finest.

A bad end to the pumpkin season. Had eleven plants all under tents and last night mother nature decided to dip below 30 degrees. This is the end result a bunch of frosted off plants. Here it is the beginning of May and I'm calling it quits...good luck to all you other growers. The weather is so crazy here we are going to go from 80 degrees to a 40 degree drop in an hour. we had more rain in month of April then we did in 2011 and 2012 combined. The nice thing is they said we should see mid 90's by mid week.
