This is part of my watermelon harvest. Some of the larger melons are still on the vine. However, for the past two or three weeks the plants have been suffering badly from various fungal diseases caused by the rainy and cold summer we have had for the most time this year. I would like to thank everyone who sent me watermelon seeds for this season! I don't know if the melons, which are still on the vine, will grow much more, but at least I got something to harvest. I cut open two melons and they are very sweet and tasty. I will definitely try them again next year. So, if you have some seeds to share this fall, I'd appreciate it.

Each of these flowers only blooms one night. They open around 7 to 9pm and will wither the next morning.

The giant sunflowers are doing very well despite the bad summer. Some of them are in the 5m range. I will take exact measurements shortly, before the heads are getting heavier and are reducing the height.

In the background you can see my tall corn. It is even higher than the sunflowers!

I love sunflowers! To me nothing symbolizes summer as much as they do.
