Pumpkin seeds filed and started via paper towel method. Placed in a plastic storage container with a heat mat.

All but one seed had sprouted and were put into pots - still within the plastic storage container with seed mat.

Between the 16th - 18th placed pumpkin plants under grow lights. 1421 was first to sprout and first to emerge from pot.
A couple of Jeff Johnson's squash seeds were started this week, both sprouted and are currently in their pots waiting to come up.
Two giant watermelon seeds were started at the same time as the pumpkins. Only one sprouted and is currently under the grow light with the pumpkins.

Plants are in the hoops and will hopefully be growing without issue.
For numerous reasons I always dreaded every year having to put together and build the greenhouses in the patch. This year I put everything together in the backyard and simply moved them into the patch when it was time. These are 8’ by 6’. Much easier to do.

1532.5 is a big wheel. Passed 1000 lbs and approaching 1100.

The only thing that has slowed the pumkin down was a top and bottom stem split. I cut down the water on the plant, cleaned with bleach and have applied some liquid fungicide and a fan.
So far it looks like it's going to make it.

The day after my prior post a blossom split ended the season for the 1532 Pugh. I don't have final measurements with me but it estimated just shy of 1200 lbs.
