I went to Mt. Mitchell State Park and hiked part of the Deep Gap/ Mountain Crest Trail which begins just below the summit of Mt. Mitchell. The Hike included hiking the summits of Mt. Craig ( 6645 ft ), Big Tom ( 6562 Ft ), Balsam Cone ( 6611 Ft ), Cattail Peak ( 6583 ft )

Patch is holding up well despite having over 20" of rain since June 30. Our average yearly rainfall is 55", as of this moring we are at 56" for the year. Pollinations have been tough. I pulled the 1770 today, didn't want to waste anymore time on it.
