Got this seed kinda late and was planted on april 27. A few days after transplanting in the patch it was attacked by some bugs that had eaten the leaves. Saturday, June 9 View Page This is my second dissapointed plant of this year; the 1104,5 Hester. Don't know why it will not grow like it should. Very thin main and small side vines and slow growing. I have a back-up plant that is planted on the other side of the patch, growing in the opposite direction. Saturday, June 9 View Page This is the back-up for the 1104,5 growing between my patatoes. It is a 546,4 Zaychkowsky 06 (898 Knauss x 1068 Wallace) wich is a very nice cross. I'm serious thinking about pulling the 1104,5 and grow this one. Will wait another week and will decide then! If the 1502 turns out to be a strong growing plant i will pull the 1225,3...If not i will grow this one! Sunday, June 17 View Page The 1131* is growing very good and has big leaves and strong vines. Will have to terminate the first sidevines tommorow. Behind it you can see my giant and normal tomatoes in the hoophouse. So this is not so bad for a stumpless plant. The 2 squash plants (1131 and 1040)i had to pull out because they suffered from a soil dissease... I still think this is a very good seed but did not like our cold and wet soil this year, sorry pap! Thursday, September 27 View Page The fruit on the 1019 was getting soft today, cut her open and get the seeds. Very low seed count, only 5 viable ones. So i have only the fruit on the 1104 for our weigh-off next saturday. Sunday, October 14 View Page On september 29 whe had the weigh-off at our hometown. I won with my 1104 Hester fruit that weighed 338,5 kg / 746,2 Lbs. It was est. 264,4 kg / 582,9 Lbs, that's 28 % heavy!!! Not bad for a pumpkin that is grown on a stumpless plant with only 75 % sidevines left!! Seeds will be: 746 Van Rompaey 2007, cross is: 1104 Hester x self. At the Pic you can see Jos with his 1502 fruit, awsome!!! Sunday, October 14 View Page Again Jos,now with his 998 fruit...i was glad to touch it, unbelieveble!!! BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! Congrats to the European champion. Way to go Jos, hopefully the seed count will be high, if possible i will plant it next season. Saturday, November 24 View Page This is why my 1104 Hester-fruit went 28 % heavy; very thick walls and almost no concave! Only 64 good seeds where inside. Seeds are called: 746.2 Van Rompaey 2007.
