This will be an interesting growing season for me. I am currently on a internship for school at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. I have located space to grow a few plants this summer and intend to break the Florida State Record!
The three seeds that I have chosen are the...
1325 Hopkins(1140 Stevens X 1500 Revier)
1112 Est. Checkon (1421 Checkon X 1725 Harp)
1286 Daletas (1288 Wallace X 991 Urena).
Anyone know what the Florida record is?

The 1112 Checkon was started on the 20th of March and germinated on the 23rd of March. The 1325 Hopkins was started the 25th and germinated on the 29th.
This is a picture of the 1112 in its home. The 1325 will be going out tomorrow. Forecast is for hot weather next week here in Florida so they should both take off pretty quick.

Here is the 1112 Checkon today 4/28/2012. Cool weather earlier this past week slowed the growth a little. Vine is close to 6 feet as of today, side vines are really coming out now, hope to be pollinating in 10 days or less.

5/25 Day 10 for the 1325 X 1112 fruit.
30" Cir,
21" STS,
23" ETE
OTT 74"
Plant is very healthy and covers betwen 500 and 600 square feet. If not much damage is caused by the sub-tropical storm this has the start of a really good growth curve.
As a side note I have 65 days remaining for my internship here in Florida, if these fruit continue the 1112 would be 77 days old and the 1325 would be 76 days old.

Here is the 1112 Checkon on day 20.
64" Cir.
46" STS
45" ETE
155" Total
89 Lbs. Est.
Growth has not been as good as hoped and the plant is really suffering from soil salinity damage. No record breaker here but I do think I will be able to get seeds which was a big goal with this and the reverse cross.

Here is the 1325 Hopkins on day 20. This was a first for me as the 1112 and 1325 pollinated a day apart had the exact same day 20 numbers!
64" Cir.
46" STS
45" ETE
155" Total
89 Lbs. Est.
This plant has soil salinity damage also but not as severe as the 1112. Still think this one will end up larger, but I really look forward to having seeds from these two fruit. 1325 X 1112 and the reverse!
